Some of my impressions of Wanganui.  I am enjoying taking photos that feature the effects of light.  Obviously, dawn and dusk or sunset are times for interesting contrast, but I hope to develop this theme further with other shots during the day.

I took this photo at dusk from the Wanganui City Bridge, looking down on a young fisherman enjoying the last of the day's fishing in April 2006.

 
The following delightful shots were taken at Castlecliff Beach on 28th January 2005.  Sorry, but I'm not sure who the subject is.  He is a family friend of people that I met at the beach that day.
 

May be a surfie one day?  (With a bit of imagination, you can almost see the surf board!)

I loved the reflection that I got in the wet sand.
