Kapiti Island
This painting was loosely based on the Kapiti Island Sunset photograph that I took from the top of Paekakariki Hill, north of Wellington.  It was done as an exercise in an art class with Ed Labadie as the tutor, I really enjoyed doing this painting, and was pleased with the results.  I was really pleased to be able to achieve the high colour saturation, and this then led me to experiment further with other works, to see just how much vibrancy I could achieve.
