Lake
Hawea
This was the view from our tent when
we camped at Lake Hawea in December 2007.
I painted it on location under very hot conditions,
with touching up later in the studio. I was
using acrylic paints in a water-colour style, but
they dried so fast that I ended up putting more
paint on than I intended. I still like the
result, and it reminds me of our camping trip. (Pencil,
ink pen and acrylic on acid-free 300 gsm paper,
297mm x 420mm.)
