Moon Over Hay Field

I just love the colour combinations in this wide shot of the moon rising over a hay field near Whangaehu. The cool blues of the sky against the warm sunset glow reflected in the hay field.

Kapiti Island at Sunset

The sun is setting to the left of Kapiti Island, pictured here as seen from the top of Paekakariki Hill (on the west coast of the North Island, north of Wellington) on 1st July 2006.

Although this photograph looks somewhat surreal, it is totally untouched apart from resizing for the web – it is just as my camera caught it. (1/500, F2.8)

Paraparaumu with Mount Ruapehu Behind

This photo was taken at the same time as the one of Kapiti Island from the top of the Paekakariki hill road. You can see Paraparaumu jutting out into the sea, with Mount Ruapehu looming behind.

Fairlie Road

The road out of Fairlie heading West. I was somewhat surprised at how well this photo turned out, as I took it using a pocket camera, and we were driving at around 80kph at the time.
